Great Artist Program - Lesson Plans Shoot

Avalanche Studios helped the Great Artist Program produce a series of 24 Lesson Plan videos.  The Great Artist Program is an excellent way for schools to integrate art into their curriculum, and the kids love it. Parent Volunteers can view the lesson plans to help them prepare to teach a class. We filmed the lesson plans in our studio and GAP founder Laurie White was the on-camera talent and resident artist.

The amazing Laurie White teaches simple art lessons designed
for elementary students - stuff even our crew could understand:)
Here Laurie poses for the camera in one of her newly purchased outfits - she loves having a reason to shop for new clothes.

Gallo Shoot in Cleveland, OH 6/1/12

The Avalanche Studios crew recently traveled to Cleveland, Ohio to film a few segments for a variety of projects for one of our favorite clients, Gallo.  Here's Dave Lindsay chillin' at the front lobby area of the Gallo facility.
While in Cleveland, Jason Conforto and Dave Lindsay pose near an enormous guitar.  If you think this thing is big, you should have seen the drum set!
Once we actually started working, we filmed a bunch of stuff for Gallo, as well as for the Pro Football Hall of Fame and their traveling exhibits.
Jason Conforto rocks his Avalanche Studios T-shirt while flashing gang signs at our client from Gallo, Mr. Don Szabo.  Not sure what the 3-fingers down sign means, but it turned out to be a succesfull shoot.

Whirlpool Shoot - Michigan and Chicago 4/17/12

The crew from Avalanche Studios recently traveled to Benton Harbor, Michigan to produce video content for Whirlpool's National Sales Meeting.  This project involved doing some heavy visual effects work and Zac Heileson headed up the job. Here, Zac works with one of the Whirlpool executives as we film him on green screen to insert him into famous scenes from various movies.  For this movie parody project we placed Whirlpool executives into movies such as "Saturday Night Fever", "Glen Garry Glen Ross", "Braveheart", "Animal House" and more.
In this photo, Zac is helping the Whirlpool executive to strut like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever.
Here, producer Dave Lindsay is found loitering around outside the Whirlpool Headquarters Building.
After the shoot, we stopped into the Windy City, just so we could take a picture of this giant bean.

Medtronic Diabetes Shoot in St. Louis, MO

Since we were shooting for Medtronic Diabetes during the day, our exploring of the great city of St. Louis, Missouri had to be done late at night.

This baby would have fallen if not for Dave and his enormous guns.

All set up and ready to shoot this Visiting Surgeon Program interview.  For some reason the surgeon's schedule is always more important than the crew's.

Shoot for GE/Dresser

The Avalanche Studios crew was happy to produce a series of product videos for GE and Dresser in Salt Lake City in July of 2011.  Here we see Director of Photography Zac Heileson on camera sporting his checkered beret and his stylish safety glasses.

This series of product videos featured GE's line of specialized valves used in the natural gas and pipeline industry.  Looks like Eddie, Zac and Jason are standing around again.

Zac Heileson in our studio shooting the product shots on white.  There's nothing sexier than a Dresser FlowMax Regulator Valve bathed in an endless flow of silky smooth white light.
