Something different at Avalanche Studios

This week at Avalanche Studios we shot an online webinar about HIV and AIDS. The seminar shoot was done in the studio with multi-cameras and broadcast live to medical practitioners throughout the country. We were hired by PlaformQ and Stream57 out of New York. The show was produced for ID Care Live out of Massachusetts. ID Care Live is a division of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Our latest adventure...

We’ve been traveling! Last week and this week as well we’ve had two crews shooting for Gallo Displays and Medtronic . We filmed interviews with endocrinologists for videos about Medtronic’s medical device used to treat diabetes. All the interviews were filmed on location. We've been to Houston--TX, Chattanooga--TN, Orlando and West Palm Beach--FL, and we also filmed the Medtronic Diabetes Symposium while in Orlando. It's been a fun two weeks.

This video is part of a training program so medical personnel can learn how to use the device. We shot the video with the Avalanche crew in our studio. It was a great shoot!

inContact Shoot

This week we had the pleasure of working with inContact. They are a local company that makes software and equipment for call centers. They had their annual conference called “ICUC” which is the inContact User’s Conference. It was held at the downtown Marriott center. We provided all video services for their 4-day event. We shot video of all the sessions and pre-produced the video content that was shown at the conference, as well as provided video support during the event. We had a quick turn around and edited overnight to show a video for the final day. It was a successful conference with inContact customers coming from around the globe for the sessions and latest information. We were happy to be a part of it—especially the good food! Thanks inContact.

Our interview with Governor Herbert

Last week we had the opportunity to interview Governor Gary Herbert for our client, Oil Shale Exploration Company. OSEC hired us to create a video about oil shale to use on their website and at presentations for potential investors. OSEC wants to develop fuel resources in the Uinta Basin. They have a process of extracting oil shale to create usable oil. Governor Herbert was asked to speak on the benefits of the US developing our resources instead of outsourcing to foreign countries. The Governor was nice and spoke very easily about the issue. We shot the video in the state capitol building in his pressroom.

Last week at Avalanche...

Last week we shot interviews for our documentary on Alex Boye, the former boy-band star from England who now sings for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. We interviewed the president of the choir, along with the music director and two choir members. They all had nice things to say about Alex. We shot on location inside the Tabernacle on Temple Square and used our new Canon 5D camera. Earlier in the week we interviewed Alex at a recording studio in Provo while he worked on his new Christmas album. Stay tuned for more shooting details as we get footage of the choir during rehearsal this week!

Crystal Tones

We've been working with musician Ken Davis to edit a video for Crystal Tones Music. The video called "Crystal Bowl Awakening" features music for meditation. Ken plays crystal bowls to create sound and energy. Ken is from Australia and is a long-time musician and composer. He was fun to work with. "Crystal Bowl Awakening" is an ambient video with images of mountain streams and music, combined with the sound of vibrating bowls. The video will be show on airplanes and is sold on Ken's website.

inContact shoot

This week at Avalanche we shot a video at the inContact headquarters in Midvale. We filmed a building tour for the inContact User Conference (ICUC) which will be shown at their upcoming convention. We filmed on location and it was a fun, light-hearted shoot with one of their executives playing host as we toured the facility.

Last week at Avalanche...

We shot five promotional videos of presenters from Universal Accounting Center for their upcoming seminar called "How to Start and Grow Your Own Bookkeeping Business". The videos will be shown on UAC's website soon. We shot the video in our studio with a teleprompter and green screen. It was a fun shoot with the good people at UAC and we got some funny outtakes. It was a great day at Avalanche.
