Zen Planner Time

The past few days we've been to NYC, LA and Denver to do some shoots for Zen Planner.  Such a fun client, we got to the best ways to kick, punch and shimmy!

You can see the longing in Dave's eyes to be out there with them.

Talking with one of the instructors at Crossfit.

A little direction from Dave before an interview.
"Never look directly into the camera."

Jason found out he wasn't as tough as he thinks he is... though he says he just blinked while he was taking the picture.

Kick boxing is one of Zen Planner's most popular classes.

Who's giving who orders now???

Some jumping rope to get into shape.  One of the many workouts you can get at a Zen Planner gym.

Dave taking a break from his tough "workout".

Time for some kickboxing fun.  They will get you in shape in more ways than one.

A full view of one of the Zen Planner gyms in NYC.  There is something for everyone at all the gyms.

Boxing is yet another class Zen Planner has to offer.  Whether you are just beginning or mastering your skills.

There are also karate classes for the whole family.

Dave learning how to twist again.... like he did last summer.

Zen Planner also has classes where you have to apparently be caged off!  Dave wasn't afraid though.

Dave talking to one of the many great instructors with Zen Planner.

If you are near a Zen Planner studio, you'll definitely want to check them out!

Charleston, South Carolina Shoot

The Avalanche Studios crew went to Charleston, South Carolina for a quick shoot for Medtronic.  While in town, we checked out a few of the cool old Southern mansions along the coast on Murray Boulevard.
This big pile of cannon balls and old cannon is in a park along Battery Street, and is a reminder of the Revolutionary War battle that occurred there a really long time ago.  I tried to knock over the cannon ball pile, but those things are solid.

We also ate this fish.
After our sightseeing was over, we actually did some work and filmed a few interviews with some outstanding spine surgeons.  Charleston is a cool town and I hope to be able to visit again someday.

Great Artist Program - Lesson Plans Shoot

Avalanche Studios helped the Great Artist Program produce a series of 24 Lesson Plan videos.  The Great Artist Program is an excellent way for schools to integrate art into their curriculum, and the kids love it. Parent Volunteers can view the lesson plans to help them prepare to teach a class. We filmed the lesson plans in our studio and GAP founder Laurie White was the on-camera talent and resident artist.

The amazing Laurie White teaches simple art lessons designed
for elementary students - stuff even our crew could understand:)
Here Laurie poses for the camera in one of her newly purchased outfits - she loves having a reason to shop for new clothes.

Gallo Shoot in Cleveland, OH 6/1/12

The Avalanche Studios crew recently traveled to Cleveland, Ohio to film a few segments for a variety of projects for one of our favorite clients, Gallo.  Here's Dave Lindsay chillin' at the front lobby area of the Gallo facility.
While in Cleveland, Jason Conforto and Dave Lindsay pose near an enormous guitar.  If you think this thing is big, you should have seen the drum set!
Once we actually started working, we filmed a bunch of stuff for Gallo, as well as for the Pro Football Hall of Fame and their traveling exhibits.
Jason Conforto rocks his Avalanche Studios T-shirt while flashing gang signs at our client from Gallo, Mr. Don Szabo.  Not sure what the 3-fingers down sign means, but it turned out to be a succesfull shoot.
